Gabrielle Ray

'Gabrielle Ray said, 'I am always dancing; I love it! When I don't dance, I sing. What else is there to do?'

The “Royal” Magazine.

“our daintiest dancer,”

The “Royal” Magazine for April is again a capital number. As usual, its chief feature is fiction front rank writers, there being no fewer than nine short stories of a variety to suit all tastes. The articles are all remarkably good. There is a profusely illustrated article on Gabrielle Ray, “our daintiest dancer,” written by one who has had exceptional opportunities of studying Miss Ray both and off the stage. In the article the writer tells of Miss Ray’s personal charm and great talents. Parents will read with interest article entitled “Disappointing Daughters,” in which the writer endeavours to solve the problem of why in so many cases, the daughters of to day lack the nerve and charm, of their mothers. “Mountaineering by Motor” describes how Ben Nevis was climbed by a 20h.p. car, and “Keeping Fit” is a laughable skit on physical culture at home. The number is splendidly illustrated well printed.
