 London Clubmen Start for Brighton in £lOO Challenge Contest.


As Big Ben chimed midnight last night two London clubmen set out to walk to Brighton. They were Captain H. Buckmaster (husband of Miss Gladys Cooper) and Major Eric Loder (the famous squash rackets player), and the object of the walk, it was said was to settle a bet of £lOO a side – the sequel to a challenge made last year. Both walkers are members of Buck’s Club, Clifford-street, W.
