Gabrielle Ray

'Gabrielle Ray said, 'I am always dancing; I love it! When I don't dance, I sing. What else is there to do?'

The Cottage, Goring – The Observer – Sunday 9th June 1912

Mr. and Mrs. Eric Loder have taken The Cottage, Goring, for the river season. Mrs. Loder is perhaps better known as Miss Gabrielle Ray.

Gabrielle Ray – Sheffield Hippodrome – Mexborough and Swinton Times – Saturday 9th April 1921

SHEFFIELD HIPPODROME.

The programme at the Sheffield Hippodrome this week is a capital one. The chief attraction is the popular London musical comedy star, Miss Gabrielle Ray, who fully maintains her reputation as a danseuse and vocalist. Particularly charming was her crinoline song, in which she was assisted by eight very capable small children. Mr. Leslie Barker is Miss Ray’s partner, and his work is equally good. The programme also includes Hilda Nelson, with some melody; Chinco and Kaufman in some good juggling and trick cycling; Gus Harris, a versatile character comedian; the “Three Scamps” and a piano, another good light comedy turn; “Main Steppers” (dancers), and Harry Gunn, comedian.
