For this year’s Theatrical Garden Party, to held on June 28, many amusing “events” are announced, not the least attractive of which will be a hair-dressing competition by actors and actresses under the direction of Miss Phyllis Broughton; matches in the “Anglo – American Shooting “Gallery” by teams led by Miss Alexandria Carlisle, Miss Gertie Millar, Miss Lily Elsie, and Miss Gabrielle Ray; “Jarley’s Living Waxworks” under the management of Miss Jessie Bateman; while Mr. George Grossmith, jun.. as master of the ring, with Mr. W. H. Berry as clown and Mr. Robert Hale as lion tamer of that ferocious lion Mr. George Ali, will be found in Barnum and Bunkum’s Royal Hippodrome. Other particulars may be had from the hon. secretary, Anslow J. Austin, 26, Old Buildings, Lincoln’s Inn.
