    • I already have a programme from The Toreador and I only found this one by chance as I found an article about Miss Ray performing in The Linkman and this came up on ebay, £4 so no complaints and as you say they do look lovely. Sadly, although Miss ray was Gertie Millar’s understudy as Cora she isn’t mentioned in any other programmes of this musical, so far. What makes the programme more poignant is t at it was from the final weeks of the “old” Gaiety Theatre.

      • It’s interesting that the opening of the New Gaiety was changed from Tuesday 27 October to Monday 26th October 1903 to suit King Edward v11 and Queen Alexandra who attended the opening performance of The Orchid, which Miss Ray performed in
