Nellie Taylor as “Betty” – 1917

Return of “Betty”

To captivate provincial centres, then to repeat such a success in London, has been the experience of George Edwardes’ latest musical play, “Betty,” who made her debut at the Princes’ Theatre, Manchester, last Christmas. This charming young lady is to renew acquaintance with Theatre Royal audiences next week, and there is every indication of her repeating her previous success. Miss Nellie Taylor is to play the title role, which Mr Vernon Davidson is to appear in his original part of Gerard. Others included in the cast are Miss Madie Hope, Miss Elise Craven, Mr H. V. Surrey, Mr Chas. F. Cooke, and the ever popular comedian, Mr Mark Lester. There will be a matinee performance on Saturday, 2nd October (1915).
