Robin Hood or, Babes in the Wood – The Stage – 1921
The Stage described Miss Ray’s appearance in this production; “Foremost among the large company must be mentioned Gabrielle Ray as Maid Marian. The engagement of this artist is undoubtedly a popular one, and her grace and dainty winsome ways are sure to gain for her universal admiration. Her chief opportunities are found in the “Crinoline” song, in which she is assisted by eight little performers, who find immediate favour, and “Jack O’ Jingles” a particularly effective number.”
